Exploring Christianity Explored

I have been running Alpha in our Church for over five years and have found it to be a challenging and fruitful ministry. But lately I have been looking into a similar work called "Christianity Explored". Here are some of the distinctives of the program and a short trailer.

* It’s an evangelistic program grounded in the exposition of Mark’s Gospel
* It offers a clear exploration of sin so that the sheer wonder of God’s grace can be understood
* It gives an honest explanation of the cost of following Jesus
* It presents a compelling portrait of the identity, mission and call of Christ

I ordered the program today. I'll let you know what I think after giving it a look about.

Lost and Found

If your lost, your wanted. You don't throw lost things away, you look for them till they are found. Lost? Your wanted...by God.

Discipleship and Memorization Korean Style!

At SaRang Community Church in Seoul Korea, every lay leader is trained not only in topical memorization of Scripture but also in total recall of Romans 8! The senior pastor memorizes, and everyone else in the church feels they should too.

Way to go SaRang CC!

"I know of no other single practice in the Christian life more rewarding, practically speaking, than memorizing Scripture. That's right. No other single discipline is more useful and rewarding than this. No other single exercise pays greater spiritual dividends!" - Charles Swindoll

Imagine this

In our culture imagination is the least developed faculty, we let others do the imagining for us.

the imagination is almost, not quite, the same thing as faith. That which connects what we see and don’t see. When imagination is combined with trust and participation in the unseen, it becomes faith. But imagination is the training ground for that.

Eugene Peterson.

The word of God is THE great rehabilitator of our imagination, helping us to see AND participate in the reality of the unseen.

I just launched a new website for Imaginetheword.com!

I just launched a new website for Imaginetheword.com! This is something we have needed to to for a long time, and we were gifted with the funds to make it happen and happen it did! We built the site on a cloversite platform. Clover is a great company, they put website creation and maintenance within the hands of creative non-technical people in a way that few others do. I researched pretty thoroughly and haven't found anything that even comes close to what Clover offers. If your interested, drop me a line and I can tell you more, they specialize in Church ministries, non-profits and small businesses. Check em out at Clover Sites and tell them Hunter sent you!

The Rickshaw Commeth!

Wow.  One amazing milestone has been reached today, we have purchased the rickshaw! that's right, we have purchased a pedicab pickup that will be customized into the World's First Rickshaw Theatre!  The good folks at Main Street Pedicab in Broomfield, Colorado had a truck assembled and ready to go, so we said "We'll take it"!  This has been a dream for years, and it's amazing to see it coming about.  This Summer by God's grace, we will be on the streets of New York!

More milestones to come, funds for the customization of the Rickshaw, and for the covered trailer, but for this one step, we are grateful.  Thanks to all who have given and prayed toward this project, your desire to see this work come about has been nothing less than inspiring.
